The Sollertinsky Piano Trio takes its name from the Russian musician Ivan Sollertinsky, to whom Shostakovich dedicated his second Piano Trio.

The musicians have all graduated with exceptional results from the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music. The trio have a busy performing schedule and a varied repertoire; they have recently given recitals at Bath Pump Rooms, Chelsea Schubert Festival, and Lake District Summer Music Festival, as well as performing the Beethoven Triple Concerto with the Capriol Chamber Orchestra. As individuals they have performed at venues including the Purcell Room, St John’s Smith Square, St Martin - in - the Fields and Wigmore Hall.

Currently on the Live Music Now scheme, the trio give performances and workshops throughout the UK. They are deeply committed to outreach and education work and as such bring chamber music to children in schools under the auspices of the Cavatina Chamber Music Trust. Recently, they have been accepted as Concordia Foundation artists.

The trio have received coaching from Nigel Clayton, Richard Deakin, Carol Presland, David Smith, the Chillingirian Quartet and the Schubert Ensemble.
